DESCRIPTION:A rare opportunity to work in a residential setting in the UK\, exploring the Way of Touch with Alice Whieldon. EN\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImmerse yourself in Sei-Ki | rediscover flow and ease | a great start to the New Year  \n\n\n\n\nBack to Life \n\n\n\nSei-Ki was developed out of the Shiatsu tradition\, moving beyond meridians\, exploring and deepening the art of touch\, whilst enabling life to come back into us and us to come back to life. \n\n\n\nThis workshop opens us to the idea of moving away from attitudes of fixing others\, diagnosing or imposing our will onto others. It will teach us to contact and communicate with another in a way that we can feel seen\, heard and met\, as we truly are. \n\n\n\nIt will provide an opportunity to come back to the fundamental basics of Sei-Ki and hara\, without which our sessions are ineffective. It will encourage us back to the beauty and simplicity of basics\, deepening our touch and connection\, whilst sharpening our ability to offer true presence\, with a clarity that brings us Back to Life. \n\n\n\nSuitable for people of all abilities\, from complete novices through to experienced practitioners. It is a practice that benefits our development both personally and professionally\, regardless of what area of work we are in. It will appeal to anyone wanting to experience true connection with ourselves and one another. \n\n\n\nYou will: \n\n\n\n\nHave plenty of opportunities to exchange Sei-Ki\, with guidance and tutorials available.\n\n\n\nObserve demonstrations\, ask questions and engage in group discussions.\n\n\n\nEngage in structured exercises for hara development\, explore your practice and your personal development for a way of living life.\n\n\n\nThis workshop meets the acceptance criteria for The Sei-Ki Training.\n\n\n\n\nAlice learnt Sei-Ki from the founder\, Kishi Akinobu and teaches from this lineage. She has presented workshops for over 20 years and her style of teaching is exquisite\, embodying her teachings fully\, which is evident in her workshops.  Alice collaborated with Kishi and wrote\, Sei-Ki\, Life in Resonance\, The Secret Art of Shiatsu (2011). She also trains and practices Mind Clearing (the art of communication) and wrote Mind Clearing – The Key to Mindfulness Mastery (2016)  \n\n\n\nBoth of these art forms Alice brings to her workshops\, with a clarity and presence that is rarely found in the therapeutic world. Alice spends a lot of time teaching internationally\, so this is a rare opportunity to attend a UK workshop with her. \n\n\n\nThis workshop takes place at the Luther King Centre\, which also offers accommodation. We have negotiated a special rate for those wishing to stay at the centre and attend the workshop.   \n\n\n\nInvestment:  \n\n\n\n£700 – covers the workshop fee\, accommodation for 3 nights\, Thursday-Saturday\, breakfast\, lunch and refreshments. For your evening meal\, there are many lovely places to eat nearby or bring your own food to eat in the dining room \n\n\n\n£440 – non-resident fee for those living locally or wanting to make their own arrangements.  This includes the workshop plus lunch and refreshments Friday-Sunday. \n\n\n\nPayment plans are available\, please contact us to discuss individual needs. \n\n\n\nPlaces are limited. A non-refundable deposit of £300 secures your place. \n\n\n\nFood will be meat and vegetarian.
