Sei-Ki is the Way of Touch. A Way is a discipline with the aim of seeing things as they truly are. Each different Way has its own specific vehicle or discipline through which the practitioner tempers themselves to ‘see’ things as they are. When the vehicle is ‘touch’, then the Way is Sei-Ki.
Kokoro is often translated from Japanese as ‘heart’ and/or ‘mind’. But this doesn’t quite work. In Sei-Ki, kokoro and safe hands bring resonance. With resonance, seeing arises. Sei-ki is the alive way, the way of kokoro. But it is tricky to describe and impossible to separate from the practice of Sei-Ki.
To practice Sei-ki we must learn how to take no notice of our thoughts, to slip around them so that we might see.
To practice Sei-ki we see the life situation of a person with the eyes of kokoro. To do this is everything.
