We have set this up in service to Sei-Ki, students of Sei-Ki and a world in need of human touch. We think the time is right and also,
we love this work and get a lot of pleasure from sharing it.
Initiated by Dr. Alice Whieldon and founded together with Alexandra Gelny and Maria Kokori, SeiKi Hub is the culmination of decades in this work.
It is dedicated to building community and offering training to anyone journeying on the Way of Touch who would welcome the support and companionship of a skilled team and community dedicated to this art.
Sei-Ki has been defined in various ways. It is therapeutic bodywork; it is full engagement in life; a fresh take on health with roots in Zen. As such, it is ancient wisdom that stands in the present with a view to the future; it is a revolution in touch. By any definition, the world needs more of it.
From the receiver’s viewpoint, SeiKi is powerful, deep, therapeutic bodywork. Performed by a skilled practitioner it is deeply relaxing and restorative, typically resulting in the easing of emotional, mental and physical dis-ease.
From the practitioner’s point of view, it is the Way of Touch; a Zen art in the Shiatsu lineage of Kishi Akinobu. It requires commitment to self-development and service; the cultivation of calm, of wisdom and mu-shin (no mind) in addition to mastering skilled touch and safe hands.
